Paul Thornton has been a teacher, principal and consultant in a variety of educational situations. His PhD study was medically based using an ambulatory blood pressure device to measure physiological changes in principals as they went about their daily work. Combined with long term direct observation the study correlated the management activities principals engaged in with hard evidence of blood pressure changes over an extended period.
